Life Cycle Damage Analysis of INA Imported Bearings

When the INA imported bearing is disassembled and inspected after damage, the fault and damage reason of the bearing can be judged according to the damage condition of the bearing.

1. Metal spalling on raceway surface

The rolling element of bearing and the raceway surface of inner and outer rings are subjected to periodic fluctuating loads, resulting in periodically varying contact stresses. When the number of stress cycles reaches a certain value, fatigue spalling occurs on the working face of rolling body or inner and outer raceway. If the load of the bearing is too large, the fatigue will be aggravated. In addition, the incorrect installation of bearings and the bending of axles will also cause the phenomenon of raceway spalling. Fatigue spalling of bearing raceway will reduce the accuracy of shaft operation and cause vibration and noise of mechanism.

2.. Bearing burns

Burned bearings have tempering color on their raceways and rollers. The causes of burns are generally insufficient lubrication, unsatisfactory quality of lubricating oil or deterioration, and too tight assembly of bearings.

3. plastic deformation

The uneven pits on the contact surface between the raceway and the roller of the bearing indicate that the bearing has plastic deformation. The reason is that the local stress on the working surface of the bearing exceeds the yield limit of the material under a large static load or impact load, which usually occurs on the bearing with low speed rotation.

4. crack of bearing race

The causes of cracks in bearing seat rings may be the tight matching of bearings, the loosening of outer or inner rings of bearings, the deformation of bearing envelopes, the poor surface processing of mounted bearings, etc.

5. cage cracking

The reasons are insufficient lubrication, crushing of rolling element, skewed seat ring, etc.

6. The metal of the cage adheres to the rolling element.

The possible reason is that the rolling element is stuck in the cage or insufficiently lubricated.

7. Serious wear of raceway of seat ring

It may be a foreign body falling into the seat ring, insufficient lubricating oil or inappropriate lubricating oil brand.

The main factors affecting the damage of INA imported bearings are load, lubrication, assembly, environmental conditions, material quality or manufacturing accuracy.

After installation of INA imported bearings, if not carefully adjusted, alignment may result in additional loads, friction and vibration of bearings. These may accelerate fatigue and reduce the service life of bearings, and may damage the service life of other machine parts. In addition, increased vibration and friction may greatly increase energy consumption and premature failure risk.

During the use period, it is necessary to monitor the basic external conditions of INA imported bearings, such as temperature, vibration and noise measurement, etc. These regular inspections will identify potential problems as early as possible and prevent unexpected machine interruptions, so that production plans can be realized and plant productivity and efficiency can be improved.

In the operation process, the bearing requires correct re-lubrication to perfect its performance. Bearing lubrication methods are divided into grease lubrication and oil lubrication. In order to make the bearing function well, first of all, the lubrication method suitable for use conditions and purposes should be selected. If only lubrication is considered, lubrication of oil lubrication is dominant. But grease lubrication has the advantage of simplifying the structure around the bearing.

Bearings should be replaced when they reach their final life. Although bearings can not be used again, the correct removal of the original bearings and timely replacement of new INA imported bearings can play a very good role in promoting the extension of the service life of new bearings. Firstly, the use of proper unloading methods and tools will help prevent damage to other machine components. Secondly, incorrect unloading techniques may cause harm to operators.
