Bearing installation

Bearing installation: bearing must be installed in dry and clean environment. Before installation, the quality of the mating surface of the shaft and the shell, the end face of the shoulder, the groove and the connecting surface should be carefully checked. All mating connection surfaces must be carefully cleaned and deburred, and the unprocessed surface of castings must be cleaned of moulding sand.


Bearings should be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene before installation, used after drying, and ensure good lubrication. Bearings generally use grease lubrication, but also oil lubrication. When grease is used, grease with excellent properties such as impurities, oxidation resistance, rust prevention and extreme pressure should be selected. The filling amount of grease is 30%-60% of bearing and bearing box volume, not too much. Double row tapered roller bearings with sealing structure and pump shaft bearing have been filled with grease, which can be used directly by users and can not be cleaned again.


When the bearing is installed, equal pressure must be applied on the circumference of the ring end face to press the ring in, and no tools such as pins should be used to knock directly on the bearing end face in order to avoid damaging the bearing. In the case of small interference, the end face of bearing ring can be pressed by sleeve at room temperature, and the sleeve can be equally pressed by sleeve by tapping sleeve with a head. If installed in large quantities, hydraulic press can be used. When pressing in, it should be ensured that the outer ring end face and the shell shoulder end face, the inner ring end face and the shaft shoulder end face are pressed tightly, and no gap is allowed.


When the interference is large, oil bath heating or inductor heating bearing method can be used to install, heating temperature range is 80 - 100 C, the maximum can not exceed 120 C. At the same time, the bearing should be fastened by nuts or other appropriate methods to prevent the width contraction of the bearing after cooling and the gap between the ring and the shoulder.

The installation of single row tapered roller bearings should be adjusted at last. The clearance value should be determined according to the different working conditions and the magnitude of interference. If necessary, the test should be carried out. The clearance of double row tapered roller bearing and pump shaft bearing has been adjusted when they are out of the factory, so it is unnecessary to adjust them when they are installed.


Rotation test should be carried out after bearing installation. First, it is used for rotating shaft or bearing box. If there is no abnormality, it will run at low speed and no load by power. Then, according to the operation condition, the rotating speed and load will be gradually increased, and noise, vibration and temperature rise will be detected. If abnormality is found, the operation shall be stopped and checked. After normal operation test, it can be delivered.
